I've never tried this before but I've been interested in trying to blog for the last few years.
Always been too nervous to try.
My first idea was to post about giving up smoking, that was 5 years ago! Didn't happen, what a surprise.
Then after a year off the smokes, and gaining a few (several) pounds, I thought I might try to blog about trying to get fit as I took up running to help shed the poundage, it was the cheapest option, money is always limited in this dream life of mine.
I didn't do that either, nerves again, and that time I kept up the fitness and ran a marathon (Dublin City Marathon) 2014.
I guess I never felt that anything I have done was noteworthy enough to write about much less publish online.
As the time has moved on over the last few years I have tried to test myself, do something to take myself out of my comfort zone as often as I can, learn something new, try something new, the things I have wanted to try, including this blog.
So what's changed, why now?
Because I learned a few things about myself over the last years, I have learned that I can do these things that my fears have kept me from doing, even though it sometimes scares the shit out of me.
And I'm going to continue to try these things.
To try to live the dream....
